Roaring Fork Breakfast Review [2025 Gluten Free & Food Allergy Options]

This gluten free dining experience took place in November 2025. It includes information about dairy free options.

Breakfast at Roaring Fork

Roaring Fork, located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort, is a quick service restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a rustic atmosphere and a BBQ inspired menu. A few months ago, I stopped by the restaurant for breakfast with my friend Christy from Pack Your Pixie Dust, who told me that there was an amazing potato based breakfast that I needed to get. Spoiler alert: She was right!

Atmosphere

Located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, Roaring Fork has a decidedly rustic theme. We always love going to this resort, and it’s especially pretty during the holiday season when I visited on this occasion.

From the exterior to the beautifully themed lobby, every inch of the Wilderness Lodge is so well themed. It truly feels like you are someplace else and not in Orlando or Florida.

As an aside, going during the holiday season is especially magical. The tree display is one of the best at Disney World, in my opinion, and everything is just extra beautiful.

Roaring Fork is located directly off the main lobby of the Wilderness Lodge. It’s a bit tucked away, but if head towards Artist Point and keep going, you’ll easily find the restaurant.

The restaurant itself is small, with some grab and go items and a counter plus cash register. Mobile ordering is the preferred way for guests to order food, and that can work for those with special diets IF you only have one dietary need (for example gluten free only or dairy free only). But, if you have multiple special dietary needs or have questions about options or protocols, I would recommend that you ask to speak directly to a coordinator/manager.

The Food

Like most Disney owned locations, you will find that there is an allergy-friendly menu. For quick service locations, items are only listed for one special dietary need, so if you do have multiple needs, cross referencing can help, but talking to a coordinator/manager will be the best bet, like I mentioned before.

For grab and go items, the options vary, but you’ll often find a select number of gluten free and allergy-friendly products to purchase. On this visit, we found a variety of Partake brand allergy-friendly cookies.

On this visit, Christy and I did mobile ordered our breakfast. Special diets orders from quick service locations with a mobile order or to go option will typically be served in boxes with special diets labels. If for some reason your order does not have this, I would always recommend double-checking and confirming before you eat the food.

Roaring Fork Loaded Breakfast Tots

For our breakfast, we ordered the Loaded Totcho Bowl which comes with Potato Barrels, Scrambled Eggs, Cheddar, Sausage Gravy, Bacon, and Green Onion. This is a gluten free option and if you’re dairy free, you can modify this to be DF by omitting the gravy and swapping out the cheese for a DF version.

If you’re gluten free and love potatoes as much as we do, this is a must order for breakfast. Wowza! The tots were plentiful and extra crispy. The combination of gravy, cheese, bacon & onion all bring this breakfast together in one hearty bow. It’s a huge portion, and we both took tots home with us (and the reheated well too).

Of course, the tots would be my number one breakfast item at Roaring Fork, but there are some other options if you’re gluten free too. That includes allergy-friendly Mickey waffles (gluten free, dairy free & vegan) and a breakfast platter (can be made gluten free & dairy free).

As a note of caution, oatmeal is listed as safe on the gluten free menu. Disney does not typically use certified gluten free oats. If you have celiac disease, we would recommend avoiding any oats due to cross-contamination risks.

Overall

Roaring Fork has both your standard breakfast options and one incredible potato based breakfast option that is now a must get for me. Honestly, any location at Disney that includes a totcho bowl for breakfast, lunch, or dinner is a win in my book. Our friend Christy knows her potatoes too, and her recommendation for this breakfast bowl was spot on. I can’t wait to go back and get it again!

Have you been to Roaring Fork? What was your experience dining there gluten free or with other special dietary needs?
