I’m pleased to announce an additional event for our upcoming 2nd Annual Special Diets Dessert Party weekend. Please join us for a Lunch & Learn with Food Allergy Cookbook Author Laurie Sadowski at Raglan Road Irish Pub in Downtown Disney. This Lunch & Learn will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Tickets are free of charge, though guests will be responsible for all food and beverages purchased at the restaurant. The restaurant has created a menu for our lunch & learn that are gluten & dairy free and will include Raglan Road’s famous gluten free (and dairy free) fish and chips! (You can read my 1st review of Raglan Road HERE.) There will be tons of other goodies on the menu, including their amazing onion rings! If you’re a vegan or vegetarian, you are also in luck because we have some nice vegan & vegetarian options in addition to those yummy onion rings! In addition to wonderful gluten free and dairy free food choices, there will also be some terrific gluten free alcoholic beverages available for purchase, including Magner’s Irish Cider which is naturally gluten free & delicious! There are also several gluten free beers available as well. We’re also lucky because Magner’s Irish Cider is sponsoring event and we will have a tasting featuring their products.
In addition, our event is graciously sponsored by Mary’s Gone Crackers and we will highlight their products in various recipes adapted by Laurie & provided by Mary’s Gone Crackers. We’ll also have gift bags filled to the brim with Mary’s Gone Crackers & Magners items.
In addition to enjoying wonderful Irish food, the chefs at Raglan Road will come out and discuss their food allergy accommodations and answer any questions that guests might have. It will be a great way to learn more about what goes on behind the scenes in the Raglan Road kitchen and learn more about their gluten free & food allergy awareness. This will be a treat.

The biggest highlight of this meal will be gluten free & food allergy cookbook author Laurie Sadowksi‘s lunch & learn Baking 101. She will cover all the basics of gluten free & food allergy baking, as well as highlight some of the alcoholic beverages served at Raglan Road and snacks provided by Mary’s Gone Crackers. You’ll learn all sorts of great baking tips and tricks and there may be a surprise or two along the way!

And of course, no Gluten Free & Dairy Free at WDW event is complete without gift bags. Each of our guests will receive a gift bag that is specially prepared for the event (and for those going to both this event & the dessert party, you’ll be getting different themed bags!). We will also have raffle items available from lots of special diets vendors.
