Stacy’s Gluten Free Goodies: Stacy’s GF Goodies is located in Tampa, Florida, and I had the pleasure of visiting the bakery and meeting Stacy. This is an allergen free bakery and all of the items are free of: gluten, dairy, wheat, soy, nut, and eggs! I was so thrilled to check it out, as gluten & dairy free bakeries aren’t that easy to come by. Most of the time I find a few GF/DF products, but here…I could literally have everything! I love that. As many of you know, there’s nothing better than going to an allergen friendly bakery and getting to pick out whatever you want without worry. Stacy started her bakery after she discovered her son’s food sensitivities. Check out her site for the full story, it’s so heart-warming.
I didn’t get to the bakery until close to closing, so there weren’t as many options of baked goods as normal, but wow, there were some amazing goodies still there. For my first visit, I tried 3 different cupcake flavors and 1 type of cookie. Here’s what I got:
Peach Bellini Cupcake — September’s featured cupcake!
The peach bellini cupcake is the September featured cupcake. Holy cow! This one was beyond amazing. I am a huge peach fan, and this did not disappoint. Very moist and flavorful and the frosting was divine. Here’s what’s in it: This is a white cupcake with peach schnapps and fresh peach bits. The frosting is made with peach schnapps and champagne. My mom tried it and she loved it…and she hates peach! So, I would say this is a real pleaser. And I am kicking myself for not buying more than 1!!!
The next one I tried was a chocolate cupcake with raspberry frosting. This was another real winner. Stacy doesn’t use food colorings, but the vibrant color from the frosting gave it this lovely pink hue. And the flavor was sooooo good. I also thought this was the best chocolate cupcake I’ve ever had outside of the ones I make myself. I’m not even exaggerating!! If you like raspberry and chocolate this will be the sure-fire favorite.

The last cupcake I tried was the carrot cupcake. Yummy! I can honestly say that I have not had one in 3 1/2 years, mostly because of the frosting issue (traditionally it has cream cheese on it), so I was very curious about this version. Again, totally amazing. It was a good carrot cake cupcake to begin with and the frosting on it really complimented it. I did not miss the cream cheese!
The cookie I tried was the No Peanut Butter cookie made with sunbutter, which lately has become my new favorite alternative butter. Delicious! If you can’t have peanut butter or just want a different variation, this will do the trick. So good, I bought a whole 1/2 dozen (and have already eaten half of them!!!). One of my favorite cookies so far from a bakery, and I’ve been through a bakery or two! 😛

My family actually said that this is their favorite GF/DF bakery by far, and I completely agree with them. I was so pleasantly surprised by the quality and flavor of these baked goods. And I’m very much ready to make another trip here in the near future! If you live in the Tampa area or even Central/South Florida…head over to this bakery, and you won’t be disappointed. You can even have these shipped to you! Of course, for me half the fun is going to the bakery, so I’ll be heading in soon!
Thank you Stacy for all you do and for making such wonderful goodies. I’m thrilled to make this my new bakery and to have your products at the Dessert Party! Awesome, awesome, awesome!
Here is some review info on some additional items sampled on another trip to Stacy’s.
Chocolate chip cookie/non-dairy ice cream sandwich
First up is the non-dairy ice cream sandwich. OMG this was really good. I rarelyget something like this out, and I have to say the ones at Disney these days aren’t the greatest (sorry just not a huge fan of the OMG I can’t believe it’s Gluten Free brand), so this was great. My whole family sampled these and it was a big hit for allergy and non-allergy eaters alike. The cookies had the perfect crisp bite to them and the Rice Dream ice cream was great in this. I liked the addition of the chocolate chips on the sides too. You can never have enough chocolate! These would be perfect on a summer day.
Halloween sugar cookies–Boo!
Next up are the seasonal treats. The sugar cookies were really good. They are the traditional rolled out cookies that you expect from the holidays and the frosting was the same. I loved the cute decorating, but the taste was the best part. These tasted like my favorite rolled out sugar cookies. I still haven’t mastered that yet gluten free/dairy free, so the fact that I can get these now, makes me happy. I’m buying some for Thanksgiving and Christmas! Can’t wait to see those decorated cookies.
Apple Cider Cupcake
I also had to try out some of the other cupcakes and the featured cupcake of the month was a must! This is the apple cider cupcake, and wow, it tasted just like I expected—concentrated cider! The frosting had a nice zip to it too–very cinnamony! Love the cinnamon stick as a decoration–too cute. I’ll note that my mom gave one of these to a newly diagnosed gluten free friend and she just raved about this cupcake. See, it’s not just me!
Vanilla cupcake with raspberry frosting
Last up is the vanilla cupcake. I hadn’t tried the vanilla cupcakes yet, so I really wanted to check it out. If you can nail a vanilla cupcake allergy friendly, you have got a winner (for some reason the vanilla cupcakes seem harder to achieve succesfully, in my opinion). This was very moist and flavorful–a little dense, but you expect that. The frosting, of course, was divine. I love Stacy’s raspberry frosting–it’s light, but has such a great bright raspberry flavor–so far probably my favorite frosting in her bunch. l
As usual, Stacy‘s goodies don’t disappoint! I can’t wait to check out her holiday offerings (including stuffing!).
