Paleo On the Go Meal Delivery Service
Paleo on the Go is a meal delivery service based out of Largo, Florida. They offer gluten free, dairy free, paleo, and autoimmune protocol meals, snacks, and desserts that are easy to prepare and eat. One of the things that I like most about Paleo On the Go is that everything has been freshly prepared, so I don’t have to do a lot of cooking and can eat literally on the go! This makes Paleo On the Go perfect for anyone visiting Disney who doesn’t want to spend a lot of money eating out but want healthy, nutritious, special diets friendly meal options that aren’t too hard to make.
I tried Paleo On the Go meals last year and loved them. You can read my previous review of Paleo On the Go too, which covers more meal options (including my favorite — Butternut Squash Lasagna with homemade cashew ricotta!)
Recently, the team at Paleo On the Go (one of which is a long-time reader of the blog!) sent me a box of goodies to enjoy — including some of their newest products. You can see my video unboxing (including a special appearance from my cats), over at YouTube too.
Here’s a quick review of some of the products I tried.
Legit Bread Company Everything Bagels
One of the things I was most looking forward to from my shipment were the Legit Bread Company Everything Bagels. I’ve been hearing great things about these paleo friendly bagels created by ZenBelly and Predominately Paleo. You can find their recipe for these bagels and order their mixes directly from their website. But, if you’re like me and want something easy, ordering them pre-made through Paleo On the Go is the perfect way to enjoy them.
The everything bagels come in 3-packs. They are pricey rounding out at $15 but totally worth it for a treat, especially if you’re on vacation. I like that they are individually wrapped too.
With just a bit of heating, these completely exceeded my expectations and then some. They were well, legit! They had a great flavor and texture and really tasted like a gluten-filled bagel. These were hands down a winner and a product I’d order again. They made for the perfect breakfast and breakfast for dinner!
Carob Delight Slim Mint Cookies
If you say something tastes like a Girl Scout cookie, I get excited. I miss the days of eating Thin Mints and was super stoked to try the Carob Delight Slim Mint Cookie. Not only is it gluten free, dairy free, and paleo, but it’s also AIP friendly too.
I have to say that I heart these heart shaped cookies. Holy moly. These were insanely good and totally satisfied my thin mint cookie craving. I may or may not have eaten one for breakfast too…
Beef Breakfast Empanadas
If you’re like me, breakfast can be tough sometimes. The Beef Breakfast Empanada is a great option if you need something portable and easy to eat and clean-up. This came in simple packaging and can easily be microwaved if you don’t have access to an oven.
The empanada is gluten free, dairy free, paleo, and AIP friendly. I loved the mild flavors of this dish. It was super flavorful without being overpowering and very filling. Definitely a nice change of pace from eggs and bacon for breakfast.
Tropical and Strawberry Banana Broth Pops
The items I was most curious about were the Tropical and Strawberry Banana Broth Pops. Yes, broth pops. These popcicles have actual bone broth in them for a bit of added nutrition. It’s perfect for kiddos and for anyone craving something cold on a hot summer day. And, you totally can’t taste the broth in these pops either!
Paleo On the Go is perfect for anyone who is looking for gluten free, dairy free, paleo, AIP friendly meals. It’s super easy, portable, and everything I’ve tried has tasted great. Don’t believe me? Check out Celiac and the Beast’s unboxing of her recent Paleo On the Go order for another review.
